Workshop Description
This workshop will provide participants with knowledge and skills they can use to create positive learning environments, build social capital, and resolve relational concerns. Some important features of this training include, how to:
- set high expectations while being supportive.
- give direct feedback and use effective questioning to foster accountability and
- utilize circle groups to encourage positive relationship building and address conflicts and other important issues.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Explain what restorative practices are.
- Utilize effective measures for giving feedback.
- Use restorative practices as an alternative to addressing issues of conflict.
- Utilize alternative skills to engage students, parents and others in meaningful ways in and out of the classroom.
