Workshop Description
The workshop is designed to expose participants to the major tenets underlying the development and use of Individual Educational Plans (IEP). Key questions about IEPs will be addressed. These include:
- What is an IEP?
- How is an IEP created?
- Who constitutes an IEP team?
- The role of IEP team members.
- How should the IEP be used?
- Why confidentiality is important in the IEP development and use processes.
- How should assessment be facilitated within the IEP?
- How is the IEP reviewed?
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Explain what an IEP is and how it is created.
- Appreciate the need for confidentiality in the development, use and review of an IEP.
