Workshop Description
This workshop will seek to improve instructional practices in the teaching of Social Studies. Participants will begin by analyzing the importance of teaching and assessing students in Social Studies. Different approaches will be examined to build participants’ repertoire of strategies and methodologies for successful instruction. This is important as, if not effectively done these instructional practices, planning, teaching, and assessing can lead to boredom and frustration of students and their ultimate alienation and dislike of the subject area.
