WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This hands-on professional development session will explore how artificial intelligence, and digital technology can support students with executive functioning challenges. Participants will learn the clinical foundations of executive functioning from a neuropsychological perspective, then experience practical AI tool demonstrations. The session will begin with understanding executive functioning as the brain's "CEO"- the higher-order cognitive processes that manage goal-directed behaviour. Participants will learn how executive functioning deficits present across various neurological, developmental, and psychiatric conditions. The technology portion will feature live demonstrations of AI platforms with ready-to-copy prompts for immediate classroom use. All participants will leave with concrete AI strategies they can implement immediately.
