WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
During this seminar, participants will be exposed to a plethora of practices that undergird the importance of mentoring and coaching. These practices can support students academically, especially those at-risk students and help educators enhance their professional development, best practices and overall well-being. The importance of mentoring and coaching cannot be understated. It can have positive impacts, such as improving educators’ teaching practices and students’ academic outcomes. It can also foster skill development and enhance personal and professional learning and growth. Participants will gain practical and authentic examples in mentorship and coaching.

- Understand the difference between management and leadership.
- Discuss the importance of team building.
- Define the terms mentorship and coaching.
- Discuss the benefits of mentoring and coaching.
- Demonstrate key aspects of mentoring and coaching.

- Develop a range of practical/professional skills in mentoring and coaching.
- Develop an action plan for respective Business Studies department.

Persons who manage the Business Studies Departments in Secondary/Tertiary Institutions.
