TOPIC: The First Three Minutes: Sparking and Keeping Your Students’ Curiosity

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
The first three minutes of a lesson are crucial in engaging students and setting the tone for the rest of the class. This workshop will explore the concept of set induction—the techniques used to introduce and spark curiosity in students at the beginning of a lesson. Teachers will be introduced to different types of set inductions, explore strategies for engaging students immediately, and learn how to sustain their curiosity throughout the class. Through interactive activities, discussions, and planning exercises, participants will walk away with practical tools to enhance the start of their lessons.
