Course Structure: The course is divided into five, 5-week Modules.
- Modules 1 and 2 - September to December 2025
- Modules 3 and 4 – February to April 2026
- Module 5 – May to June 2026
Sessions: Thursdays 5 – 7:30 p.m

Who Should Apply:
The cohort for this course should be trained teachers with more than ten years’ experience, who are desirous of retooling and upskilling their craft to make them more effective in the classroom. The candidates should be passionate about classroom practice and willing to embrace contemporary and new approaches to the delivery of instruction.
Financing and Fees:
This course is free of cost to participants as the funding for this initiative is being provided by the government of Barbados. However, successful applicants will be required to pay a fully refundable $500.00 participation fee. This fee will be refundable only on the successful completion of the course.
Course Details:
The course is designed to expose participants to many of the foundational aspects of education; transformative teaching and progressive pedagogies; professional learning and development in teaching; post-pandemic pedagogies and socioemotional learning; integrating Arts and digital learning; and school and community relationships.
Credits:
The course is a five (5) Credit course.
Certification:
On successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded a Certificate in Teacher Efficacy in the Classroom.
