Who Should Apply:
Participants in this course should be a Principal, Deputy Principal, Senior Teacher, Head of Department, Year Head or Subject Coordinator.
Financing and Fees:
This course is free of cost to participants as the funding for this initiative is being provided by the government of Barbados. However, successful applicants will be required to pay a fully refundable $500.00 participation fee. This fee will be refundable only on the successful completion of the course.
Course Details:
The course is designed to expose participants to many of the foundational aspects of educational leadership; the contemporary issues facing educational leaders and institutions; the management of change; and the development of leaders and leadership functions. It will explicitly examine the nuances associated with leadership versus management and provide a structure for the development of effective educational leaders.
Credits: The course is a five (5) credit course.
Certification:
On successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded a Certificate in Educational Leadership.
