Workshop Description
This workshop is designed to familiarize participants with the fundamentals of the Written Structured-Response Item Formats. Common misconceptions will be addressed and clarified. Participants will be sensitized to best practices in the development of these item formats which are encouraged for use.
Learning Outcomes
By attending and participating in this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Identify each of the four Written Structured-Response Item formats.
- Recognize the key tenets of good test items using the four Written Structured-Response Item formats.
- Use the knowledge of the key tenets of good test items using the Written Structured-Response Item formats to develop sound test items.
- Critique test items to determine strengths and areas for improvement.
- Appreciate that writing test items require discrete understandings and skills for teachers.
Targeted Participants
Teachers at the primary and secondary levels; Subject Coordinators and Heads of Department; Instructional Leaders.
